Learn how to challenge or defend IP ownership.

Handling Disputes

When to Initiate a Dispute

  • Someone else registered your work first
  • You believe a transfer was fraudulent

Step 1: Open the Dispute Form

Find the record in your portfolio, click Dispute.

Step 2: Fill in Details

  • Describe why you’re challenging
  • Attach supporting evidence if possible

⚖️ Legal Note:
On-chain disputes are public and time-stamped. Only serious, good-faith disputes should be filed.

Step 3: Submit & Track

  • Smart contract records your dispute
  • Parties are notified for resolution
  • Outcome and evidence are public

🟪 Best Practice:
Always keep off-chain evidence (contracts, emails, etc.) to support your case.
