A hands-on tutorial for registering a new work on Chain of Rights.

Tutorial: Registering IP

This tutorial will guide you through the process of registering a new creative work on Chain of Rights, from connecting your wallet to viewing your registered asset in your portfolio.

Step 1: Go to the Register IP Page

  • From your dashboard or the main navigation, click Register IP.

Step 2: Fill Out the Registration Form

  • Title: Enter the name of your creative work.
  • Upload File: Choose the file you want to register (PDF, image, doc, audio, etc.; max 50MB).

Step 3: Click Register

  • Once the form is complete, click the Register button.
  • Your wallet (e.g., MetaMask) will open and prompt for transaction approval.

Heads-up:
If your file is large, the upload to IPFS may take a minute or two. Please do not close your browser until the process is finished.

Step 4: Confirm the Transaction

  • Review the transaction details in your wallet.
  • Click Confirm to proceed.

⚡ Pro-Tip:
Gas fees are minimal on Polygon. You can track your registration on AmoyScan.

Step 5: Success!

  • Once the transaction is confirmed, you’ll receive an on-screen notification.
  • Your work will now appear in your portfolio, with its blockchain timestamp and IPFS CID.

🎉 Congratulations!
Your creative work is now permanently registered and protected on-chain.
